Albertsons has acquired an equity stake in Garland, Texas-based Latino grocery chain El Rancho Supermercado for an undisclosed amount. The deal will give the 16-store chain the means to speed growth plans and open stores in new markets in Texas. Read The Dallas Morning News story here
