With many projects at or approaching 15 years of age, Nedlaw has a solid history of projects to share and has, in fact, amassed nearly 200 projects worldwide. As a proven technology, they are dedicated to sharing their stories and publishing more project work through education programs, including this very comprehensive website. As appetite for healthier, more energy efficient buildings grows, Nedlaw is poised to meet this demand with its smart, high performance solutions.
ABOUT NEDLAW
Nedlaw’s founder, Dr. Alan Darlington, began biofilter research in 1994 at the University of Guelph. Early research was funded by the Ontario Centre for Excellence and by the European and Canadian space agencies. The research group gained worldwide recognition for their use of biological systems to improve air quality. In 2001, Dr. Darlington commercialized the biofilter. Today, Nedlaw Living Walls designs, manufactures, installs, and maintains living wall biofilters for a wide array of buildings throughout North America and around the world.
Headquartered in Breslau, Ontario (located one hour west of Toronto), Nedlaw Living Walls is part of the Nedlaw Group of Companies, headed by Randy Walden, which also provides commercial roofing and green roof solutions.
