Manufacturing Expands in City of St. Louis

Local gasket manufacturer signs on a long-term lease and takes 91,000 sq. ft. industrial space in the city of St. Louis.

H. Meade Summers, III, President of Hilliker Corporation, represented the landlord, Van Velzer, LLC in the real estate transaction. Summers leased the industrial property to Ray Ragland, owner of Fairlane Industry, Inc.

The property is located at 5033 Southwest Avenue on The Hill.

Fairlane Industry, Inc. currently has three facilities in St. Louis, with one being 5033 Southwest Avenue. According to Ragland, the company plans to merge the other two facilities into the Southwest location, which Fairlane has occupied since last year, and expand the Southwest location to 91,000 sq. ft.

Fairlane Industry, Inc. was found in 1973, with Ragland owning the company since 1999. The gasket manufacturer ships products globally. “We utilize our vast knowledge of materials to engineer solutions for our customers’ requirements,” Ragland stated.
The company’s goal is to make the Southwest location its sole focus. With Hilliker Corporation’s help, the merging of the three properties provides a pattern of growth in the manufacturing sector in the City of St. Louis.
